Have you tried the baggy method?
There are more cacti in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

I got the seeds from "manomano", they have brill reviews.
I planted in a flat container, in cacti compost.
They are in an electric propagator, in a high humidity setting.
However, nothing is moving and I'm starting to lose hope :(

DIY stores arent best at cactus seeds. I mean look at me, bought seeds from ebay, from koehres(people say it germinated bad, it kinda did), no propagator, no special cactus compost, and had 60% germination on forty trays in just two weeks, and 80% germination total(2 trays nothing, 4 cups nothing, one tray lost to fungus, bad germination anyway).
In gaming terms, i got gud.

Plants don't develop hooked spines to attach onto animals, that is Lamarckian theory. The plants that developed hooked spines, probably by mutation, got hooked onto animals and so their "hooked spined genes" got more widely distributed, therefore they then out competed their straight spined ancestors.

Seed raising can be hit and miss. It can often depend on the season the seeds man had that produced the seed. One year you get poor germination from many sources, another year everything comes up like weeds. Also it can be personal, one year everything you set comes up, but a friend has a bad year and vice versa.

Also it should be remembered that botanical species don't come under the same seed testing regulations as garden or agricultural seeds. If it was a very rare species a collector would sooner have that seed if only a couple of seeds in a hundred came up, since they could then graft the seedlings, flower them and soon obtain more viable seed by cross pollination, rather than the seed be destroyed as it would be with normal commercial seed if it's germination ratio did not reach a certain regulatory level.

Aymeric de Barmon France (ADPLS) has published his seedlist today as promised. As said previously he handily groups many similar species together for certain genera, so there are plenty of the small Echinocerei I illustrated listed in his section "pulchellus".

For Other Succulent fans they are right at the end of the list.

Well, I'm relocating at the end of next week, and I'll wait until then before considering myself defeated.
I have quite a few seeds waiting to be planted so I'll try again once I'm settled.
On a positive note, my kalanchoe has some blossoms :) :) :)

Yes they usually put in those brackets and sometimes the "wonky letters and numbers" you have to type into stop the Spamming Bots picking up their actual addresses and spamming their site.
