Hosepipe cacti

Post by DaveW »

Cacti do not need a lot of water, so what do you do with your hosepipe. The commentator is a bit too enthusiastic though!

I have many epiphytic plants, and mount many of them with zip ties. Here's another great (?) use for them!

She has a lot of good cactus care videos on YouTube, probably saw a link with one of them.

Yes, as usual I was looking for something else, in fact Schlumbergera, but YouTube gives you a number of video's in the right hand column you may be interested in.

As Spence says if you put "Cacti" in YouTube's search box you will come up with a lot of videos, some interesting and some just rubbish. There are also interesting video's of cacti in habitat on it. Also some interesting pronunciations of cactus names too (Slum-ba-gee-ra) with the commentator not realising Schlumbergera was named after a man named F. Schlumberger, who had a famous cactus collection in those early days.
