Austrocephalocereus dolichospermaticus -- Siccobaccatus dolichospermaticus

It's beautiful blue stems, rusty red spination and fluffy white cephalia make this a much sought after - but hard to find - species

This cactus is endemic to somewhat restricted regions of the arid Caatinga of northeastern Brazil.

This species can be grown to maturity in medium to large size containers. Cultivation requires a gritty, mineral based substrate that provides excellent drainage plus winter warmth (minimum 45 F temperature)
