Seed pod split open but is still attatched to cactus?

Post by keithp2012 »

I have a ripe, pink seed pod on my Gymno cactus that split open and seeds are falling out. The pod is still firmly attatched and plump with more brown seeds, should I pull it off?

If you want to collect the seeds, taking it off the plant it is the easiest way by far. Many species do this.

Great! I was just nervous the seeds weren't ripe, but it seems this is the way to tell they are.
