To follow up my post of the 5' 1" C. peruvianus, the flowers finally opened last night and the night before. I considered myself fortunate to have been able to have this species bloom while potted and located just a few miles from the Canadian border. I basically neglect it except for taking off all the mealybugs each winter.

The biggest I have is about five foot, It was fifty bucks due to frost damage.
It has been raining a lot, thus the bag.

There is no cactus you can't eat, but you just might regret it if you eat the wrong one.
