Big or small?

Post by iann »

I thought Mammillaria senilis had to be a decent size before they flowered, but apparently not.

These Echinocereus albispinus also surprised me. They were only pricked out last summer into 5cm pots.

Now these are expected to flower small. For Turbinicarpus pseudomacrochele, this is a monster.

And this is a fully adult Mammillaria tepexicensis:

This ophophora fricii is only in a 2" pot, but not too surprising to see it flowering.

Looking at it a different way, are these flowers too small for the plant? Epithelantha micromeris. Lucky I had my magnifying glass out today.

I once flowered a small Mammillaria senilis Ian, but as soon as it clustered it never flowered again! You have evidently found the knack.

Very nice fricii you got there too.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind

Mammillaria senilis nice red flowers. A long time ago I had one and remember the hooked spines at transplant time, ouch.

Is that a stone table they sit on ?

Not a stone table. Chipboard :) Very home-made.
