Brachycereus classification

Post by Benyellow »

I stumble upon a wikipedia article that stated Brachycereus, or lava cactus is a subtribe and genus of the tribe Browningieae. However, in the page of Brachycereus, it is classified under Trichocereeae tribe. So which tribe is Brachycereus really belongs to? Browningeae or Trichocereeae?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lava_cactus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : it says lava cactus is under Trichocereeae.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Browningieae" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; : it says lava cactus is under Browningieae.

Any help is appreciated :) Thanks
