Just spotted these roots today.

Not coming from the vascular bundle but from the axils between the tubercles. Here's a closeup of some of them.

Neat! How long did it take from the time you cut it?

About a year? I just stood it up under the greenhouse staging. I looked at it recently and it had lots of roots so I potted it up.

Nice, I had one that lost all its roots to rot at the nursery, but I rescued it and 7 months later it has successfully rooted and us growing .

Partly. It was getting a bit tall and I was curious.

I cut my M. carmenae last Spring, it sent out roots in 3 weeks!
and the bottom had new growth in 4 weeks.
