Going to be flowery
Going to be flowery
I don't know if it is going to grow any, but there are lots of flowers coming. Interesting that all the buds are on the tips of the very oldest stems, while all the new stems have been produced from low down.

Re: Going to be flowery
That is going to be beautiful ! I wonder if my Puna/Maiheniopsis subterranea will flower this year .
Re: Going to be flowery
Looks like a good show coming Ian. I flowered it in the past, but just getting mine going again after loosing it's roots. Managed recently to obtain the plant known previously as Puna subterranea incahuasii, now often considered a distinct species as Tephrocactus (Cumulopuntia) pulcherrimus with red flowers. It seems to be budding at the moment.

Somebody once described these plants as "the Rebutia's of the Opuntiae" since they flower in small pots.

Ian how often are you watering this one in the summer? ...
Re: Going to be flowery
Good question - are you watering weekly, every two weeks or monthly?Pushrestart wrote:Ian how often are you watering this one in the summer? ...

I water it regularly, but not according to a timetable. The weather here is too unpredictable.
