From Corona Cactus. My first ever online cactus order. Gymnocalycium eurpleurum.
I've been mainly focusing on orchids for the past couple years, but orchid prices frustrate me (most of the cheap ones end up being like $30 because of shipping), so I thought I'd take a break and buy a cheap cactus. I did want another Gymno anyway.
Now I need to get some soil so I can pot it (and also repot my marigolds; I've got like 10 of them crammed into a 4-inch pot because I totally forgot I had an extra 6-inch and also because I ran out of potting soil).
I have another Gymno!

I have another Gymno!
We do what we must
because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Normally you wouldn't want to pot Marigolds and Gymnocalyciums in the same soil

I'd add a load of perlite to the cactus's soil. I do still have a big bag of perlite.iann wrote:Normally you wouldn't want to pot Marigolds and Gymnocalyciums in the same soil
