Cool Mammillaria in habitat

Here's a rare crested Mammillaria in habitat, found near Parker, Arizona. It's a Mammillaria grahamii, I presume, but I'm not certain.

Great find! We have found many crested Saguaros and Echinocereus in habitat, but never a Mamm!

that is one crazy crest.

I like those when they have some "normal" part and produce flowers like this one. Nice find!
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.

I wonder if this plant is Mammmillaria dioica. If that's the case, judging by the other pics on the home page, this species may be more prone to forming crests.

My first impression was about M. dioica even it should not be in Arizona, but this is a border area, who knows. Let's see some flowers, in about 2 months if it is this one.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
