when to take off etiolated pads?

Post by pinkham »

I got these about 10 days ago from listia. They are just pads (hopefully) rooting right now. My question is this,
Do I take off the etiolated pads now or wait until it's rooted? I wanted to keep them on so it would have a better chance of flowering but I don't know if that's the right way to go. Any advice?

one more question. If the pads come off...and I'm pretty sure they'll need to.... can the pad on the top right be saved and rooted? It's not etiolated and looks pretty healthy.

I would wait untill it roots, it won't do any bad... plus, the plants gives away some energy to form roots, and the more mass it has, the more energy it has stored.
