It has been soooo hot and dry...

That this happens. I walked past this wilted Opuntia today while wildcrafting some interesting black clay loam out of the canyon side for my mesembs.

Wow! There's a visual.
And here I've been lamenting the dead brown redwoods I see along side the freeways around San Jose this year.
No good.
