Nice slides. I especially liked the shots of the Uebelmannia gummiffera and the Discocactus horstii. I was surprised to see columnar Echinopsis, even with a cephalium! Thanks for the link,Dave.

Anceschi & Magli's site is worth exploring beyond the superb photos. In particular, their two booklets are worth reading.

In a similar vein, Chris Sherrah's http://cactushabitat.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is another great site (althjough I find the blue on black text very hard to read).

Yes Phil I had some correspondence with Chris when sorting out Hutchison's Neoporteria napina v. lanigera nom. nud. which was eventually published by Helmut Walter as Eriosyce napina ssp. riparia. Chris has a very interesting site.
