The Yavia was relatively cheap because it was an UGLY graft, with a couple of splits. Nothing life threatening and, as we know, it will grow over it - so, another one to pair with a plant I already have...

Jfabiao, you brought home very nice and interesting plants. And about numbers of plants - don`t forget we were there with a car+van of our friend ;)
Well, today there is one my plant from ELK less - one Faucaria is totally rotten....it didn`t even manage to meet new home in my GH :p

Trouble is Graffiti you would not be able to take the plants back to the US because of CITES. The people going are all resident within the EU so can easily move plants country to country since for CITES regulations the EU is treated as a single country. Just try and get plants into the EU from outside though!

I suspect it is not that hard. Just a bit risky, as it might be checked by customs and you lose the batch.

Depends how large the plants are since all luggage will be x-rayed these days when it goes into the aircraft hold and all hand baggage usually goes through x-ray too. Not only can you just loose the batch, you can be prosecuted and fined. I know of one case in the UK where the person bringing in cacti from South America was arrested taken to court and fined.
