Hey Reina,
I see the HBG has one of these:

See all those nice little 'starts' on the left side comming out on top? Maybe you could coax them into sending you a cutting or doing a trade??

My first cactus was a columnar, since then, I have been in love. So no specific type, just that form.
Other than that though, since I have ordered my seeds already and cut myself off from ordering more seeds or plants, as I am probably way out of room, I would say these are my top favorite so far...haven't done much looking for them yet, but they are probably easily available, just ones I would like to have some day.
Coleocephalocereus fluminensis
Coleocephalocereus purpureus
Eulychnia breviflora
Melocactus deinacanthus
Polaskia chichipe
Stenocactus sulfureus

After looking through several nurseries and joining the local succulent society, P. gaumeri and S. aragonii still remain on the top of the list. However, here is my "looking for list" for 2010:
Pachycereus gaumeri
Stenocereus aragonii
Blossfeldia liliputana
Yungasocereus inquisivensis
Digitostigma caput-medusae
Pygmaeocereus familiaris
Pelecyphora aselliformis
Escontria chiotilla
Espostoopsis dybowskii
Mammillaria lueythi
Bergerocactus emoryi
and the list goes on and on and on...

Thought for years I had one, based on the LA growers tag and written descriptions, then I saw Jurgen's photo of his and it all made sense, mine is some sort of Borzicactus.Saguaro123 wrote: Yungasocereus inquisivensis
I have done some business with Jurgen and mentioned my interest in any he might have for sale.
His reply was pointed and left no room for misinterpretation.

Byron,
I wish I could remember which vendor it was that I got my P. gaumeri from. It was at the HBG show and they had a bunch of them. Good price too. I think it was in the $8 - $12 range for a 6inch pot.
If you make it down to the CSSA show this year, there may be more or maybe someone could check for you if you don't go.
