I had my first plant for 15 years, and I had to chop it up into cuttings because it looked horrible with all the lanky shoots going every which way.
I got it as a volunteer seedling in a pot of some other cactus I bought.

It produces huge quantity of seed each year being self fertile, and I got a lot of seedlings to grow in the mother pot by just shaking the seeds out of their pods into the soil.

But since no one bought them, I threw most of plants away, and only have 1 or 2 small ones still around.
You rarely see anyone else growing them around here.

Well I always considered the pymaeocereus I have as one of my favourites so I was thinking miriabilis is kind of a larger version ..I also love echinopsis so the only issues were life span and ease of seeding ..I may get one
