I have run out of windowsill room at the office so I have asked my friend who is a lighting salesman about getting me some lighting sorted so I can buy more plants. I have over 140 plants (of which only 70 are identified :x ) and thats just not enough.

That is a nice list and I am with you on the smaller varieties.

you can NEVER have enough.
well..lets see... assuming im 16....aquiring cacti at the average rate of 3 per week... (id get more...but good plants are expensive down here :( )... times how many weeks of life ive got left... i should have a 'satisfactory' collection by the time im 70.

thanks, smaller plants are great because they take up minimal space and you can have hundreds of minatures (entire genera even) in a few metres of space. one of my turbis is about 1 and a half cms across and 8 years old grown from seed. a good effort for minimalisation of space..i think i need to get some blossfeldias..but havent seen one down here. :(

ha, Lewis, at the rate you mentioned, 3/week for 54 years, that's 8424 plants.

Sounds about right...

Hey Lewis nice list you have there. How much has it grown since you posted it :P

I will have to do mine one day it will take a while as I need to check off the ones that have died  Tags are fading so need to rewrite heaps.

Still a beginner eh!!!! aren't we all. I have been growing them for about 7 years give or take a year. I still don't know names and not very good at recognising species by looking at them. I am one of thoe who grows them because I can
No C&S club around her to learn all the lingo and stuff like that, so I stumble away and learn by my mistakes

I would love to see Collectors Corner one day I hear it pretty impressive. Photos look great that I have seen.
