Here is some stuff we can't sell! Please come save it!

Post by Brontosaurus »

So the nursery I work for has been sorely neglecting their cacti because nobody had time to go through and catalog them. Long story short, there's a lot of cool stuff that we can't sell because it's sick or unsightly. Does any of this look like something you'd like? Let me know.

What species are they?
There is no cactus you can't eat, but you just might regret it if you eat the wrong one.

Some very good looking plants there, we have different opinions on what's ugly. :D
Sorry I can't help, I'm on the wrong side of the ocean. :)

Most of the globular ones look like gymnocalycium pflanzii. One very dry and dead looking wigginsia maybe sellowii abd the columnar one is lophocereus schotti.

I've gotten a couple of messages in my inbox, and I should have mentioned before, I wouldn't be able to ship them to anyone unless they were willing to pay for shipping through the nursery I work for. I'm not sure how that would work exactly but I'm pretty sure it would be rather expensive. If you live near Fort Jones, CA it would be a cinch to come grab them, though I doubt many of you do. I'll talk to the boss and see if I can't figure out how to send them to anyone interested and what it would cost.

The unknown is a wigginsia or notocactus these days.

The 'unknown' looks pretty dead already. Less sure about the lophocereus, but probably fine enough. Rest should recover.

Okay, so sorry I haven't gotten back to anyone. I talked to the boss and she said we can send you stuff for free if you pay shipping and handling. Just tell me what you want and I'll weigh it and get back to you.

Well, a lot of you were interested and I wish I could give every one of you all the cacti you want but I'm going to have to do a first come; first served deal. For those of you who wanted some of this, I hope it's some concelation to let you know there's still a ton of other stuff we can't sell. I'll post it here as I go through it.

I've got two Astrophytum ornatum v. mirlellii that are have been overwatered and are looking too crummy to sell. I also have an asortment of stuff. The big one in the assorted tray is a Parodia magnifica and the rest I'm not sure on. If you're interested please message me privately and please include your zip code so I can tell you how much shipping would be. After that I'll tell you a price and if you're still interested let me know. First come first served. Thanks!
