Ficus indica being a hybrid can have seedlings that revert and get spines. I have seen some nasty ones. This is not mine but here is a picture of monocantha "Maverick" It also comes in a larger form like this called "Josephs coat". I grow ficus indica "Sun Burst", "Josephs coat", and "Maverick" if you ever want me to take a picture of them all together.

not all O. ficus-indica are spineless. I have seen ones with 1 inch spines. I think it's funny that the variegated one I got has spines on the new growth. Some of the "spineless" O. ficus-indica have spines on new growth too.

If you got a picture of all the different cultivars take a pic. I love variegated plants.

I will work on this in the upcoming few weeks to include some of the new ones.

I still am working on the update, so give me a few weeks and it should be up. I have to put all my cards into order and see what I am still missing. Last count was 130 different cards. (some are for the same species from different sources, I will make notes)

Peter, I need to send you some "real" O. aurea. If yours have pink flowers they are hybrids. I thought I sent some but may have neglected to do that.

Dean,
we were going to send each other some plants, but we never did. The O. aurea (which means golden in Latin) have pink flowers and are hybrids. I suppose I should change them to O. aurea hybrid :)

If you send me some I can send you whatever you want, just let me know :)

Peter, I'll get some off to you. No need to exchange right now as I still have nearly 100 rooted pads to plant. Getting too cool here now to plant pads out without rooting them overwinter in the greenhouse.

ok, do you have my address?
And it's still warm enough down here that if they are rooted they should be ok, I might pot them up too to over winter them :)
