Separating seedlings

Post by stefan m. »

So, probably the dumbest question i could ever ask, but , when growing seeds, in one tray, how do i separate them when sowing...
And no, getting another tray is not an answer, ill have to save up on space.
Im thiking slate pieces, but probably not a good idea.

I used to put small metal sticks from an old umbrella to separate the species.

I wanna use something that doesnt rot.... or rust or whatever. Put a piece of the cactus mix(locally sold) package as a borderline, think it reacted with the humidity and resulted in poor germination for some species, or seeds near the border.

Those metal strips are aluminum and don't rust and are perfectly inert

I use strips from a plastic A4-document binder cut to suitable sizes
