I'm using the baggie method. I harvested seeds from my plants and I have dozens from certain plants.
What's a good range to put in each pot?
Thanks.
How many seeds do you put in a 2in pot?
Re: How many seeds do you put in a 2in pot?
It depends a lot on the species, the quality of the seed and how long you intend to keep them in those pots. Out of laziness more than anything I usually put around 10-25 seeds in each 2" pot. 20 fresh seeds of a vigorous grower will crowd the pot in little over a year, whereas 30 or 40 seedlings of Strombocactus can be left safely (and it will probably be the best thing you can do with them) in the same pot for 2 or 3 seasons.

Yes, I should have mentioned I hope to keep them there for a year. I have a wide variety of seeds, but many are Ariocarpus, Astrophytum, Turbinicarpus.

That's the kind of species I sow the most. I would say around 20-30 seeds for a 2" pot.
