A little less than 2 months ago, i started growing some mixed seeds. One batch is really ahead with things starting to look like cacti rather than seedlings. However, the other batch grown under the same condition and a couple of weeks earluer has gone haywire. The seedlings turned into large blobs and the location where growth is supposed to happen has depressed inside the body.
What may be going on? Too much moisture? Time to open up?

Re: Frankenstein seedlings.
The quality of the photos is rather low. Would it be possible for you to take some better resolution/focus pictures so we can clearly see what's going on? To be perfectly honest I see normal seedlings on all three photographs

The image was distorted by the plastic covering. However, it is easily seen that the seedlings are quite bloated and lack any spination.Armen Tsirunyan wrote:The quality of the photos is rather low. I'll remove the covering and take picture again and i'll compare them with the "healthy" seedlings. The other ones are twice as tall and heavily spined.

Nothing too strange by the looks of it. Give them time and they will grow out normally.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.

The ones with the depressions look like my gymnocalycium seedlings.

Re: Frankenstein seedlings.
UPDATE:
The "growing tips" got damaged somehow and the seedlings are growing out of the sides and irregular directions. More than 90% of them have more than 2 heads. I think i may have monstrose seedlings on my hands but only time will tell.
I cant get a decent focused picture out of my camera to show the progress.

I've had similar behavior when mold has damaged the young seedling.
