Yes iann, Im hooked :D ,

here is a little update from the cacti seedlings sown end of july this year. The have had the hood on the seed trap all day/ sitting almost 100% of the time in a little water. Wondering when I should start to let them dry out more? Didnt realize i sowed lithops in the same flat #-o must be too hot for them to germinate.

temps have been over 100 degrees F ( ~38 deggress C) for about the last month 8) . mix is 80% perlite 10% compost and 10% sand with a little sand topdressing

Yep, way too hot for Lithops - maybe they'll come up in the fall...or winter.

Good progress! Night time 40s will slow down germination and seedling growth a lot

hello all,
here are a few pics of my most recent sowing efforts. Most of these seedlings were collected from my own flowering plants. And mostly in an attempt to pollinate as much as possible. Hopefully I will be better this coming Fall with the arios to keep track of the crosses

I sowed these in pure coco core and covered them in a clear plastic deli tray. took the cover off after they germinated....have been watering once the medium dries out completely. I have been striving for the easiest/ least maintenance method of germinating seeds. It helps when your plants produce their own seed and you don't have to purchase them. This last Fall was the first time I had enough arios to successfully pollinate 8)

thanks yall.
-Lui

Here is an old salad container. Just put vermiculite in it. Toss in a few astro seeds whenever they flower/pollinate/ seed out. Looking to transplant a few of these soon. all planting from Spring 2018 to now.
