I'm growing seeds in a light box using the baggie method, my curiosity usually gets the better of me and i cant resist the temptation to open the bags and have a peer inside. Is this detrimental or not ? if they are growing under lights the bags should soon warm up again any way ?

Not temperature. Spores. Your soil will go green long before the seedlings need to come out into the open. Microwave. seal, leave sealed. I use cling film over the pots so I can see in, although it does mean that seedlings need the plastic removed or they rip through it.
