Growing palms from seed HELP
I just ordered some palm seeds online (Washingtonia robusta) and was wondering if any of you could give me advice as to how I grow them. I've never grown palms from seed before, but I do very well growing annuals from seed every year. I am in zone 6b.

Never done it but see:-
Seemingly you can also use the "baggie" method as with cactus seed, but palm seeds may take much longer to germinate than most cacti:-

You could use a translucent sandwich box with a lid instead of a casserole and cling film for this method:-

Re: Growing palms from seed HELP
I guess that palms are like cacti, some are easy and some not so. I've only ever grown the stones out of dates and they are VERY easy, plant them, give some water and they give 100% germination.
