Como Park Conservatory Orchid Sampler
Como Park Conservatory Orchid Sampler
There is a large conservatory at Como Park in St. Paul. It is really wonderful to see all these tropical plants growing in Minnesota. I was disappointed to not find a single cactus anywhere there.
They do have a nice orchid collection and here are a few:
This one is tiny and just crazy:
This one is very unlike other orchids I've seen:

Daiv,
was the bottom one a stinker?
I am pretty sure that there are some orchids that are stinkers and that looks like it might have been one, but then again I am not expert.
Cool orchids, too bad there were not cacti. Looks like it would be a perfect place to have a wing of cacti, or if you were me a whole building full of cacti!

The bottom one is an Anguloa orchid. They are very fragrant. Not stinky at all.

They looks beautiful, Daiv. Thanks for the nice shots.
Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.
