Christmas came early

Post by ihc6480 »

Well it did for my wife anyway. So everyone involved with this surprise could be present it had to be presented the day before thanksgiving.
The short story. My wife of 30 years used to be a school bus driver and truly loved her job but after 11 years of driving she became disabled. Well she accumulated a vast collection of school bus sweatshirts that she just couldn't bring herself to get rid of. So I smuggled some of them and had a custom, one of a kind quilt made for her. She's now shy some sweatshirts but she loves her handmade quilt.
My wife being presented her gift by her sister.

Yeah, I think she likes it.

It will cover a kingsize bed.

Wonder what she'll think about the custom throw for her to wrap up in on cool days. Yep, more sweatshirts smuggled

Let me know what your mom thinks about it. The family friend who assisted (mostly made it) belongs to a quilting club and has a sowing room the size of my house

An example of quilting skills gone wrong!

Image

It's a quilt with Crown Royal bags sewn into it. You know, the little velvet bags that the bottles of Crown Royal liquor comes in.

Apparently quilting skills can be used for both good AND evil!
