Hi Robb, there is a slight feeling of envy creeping up in me  , but you could also post a picture from midwinter in June.

Some cacti seem to like the winter to flower. Often because conditions in habitat are harsher in summer for them.

Great plant Steve !

Another option for a winter pictures (besides cacti /succulents covered with ice and snow) how they change their appearance during winter drought in the GH, haha.

I think any picture that is somehow related to C&S in winter is fair game. Those of us lucky enough in mild climates may have things in flower (I'll be posting a flowering Mesemb that lives outdoors year round in the contest), while those of you in cold climates can take advantage of snow or the changes cold tolerant species go through to survive the winter.

I have a small rain catch basin i use to water all my winter growers and it looks like it will have a thin sheet of ice in it for the next few days at least.

I'll see if I can get some pictures of shrivelled plants tomorrow. Won't be pretty but might be interesting :)
