Congrats to our winner! A bit more effort is required to make a painting than to quickly add some Photoshop effects I think, so it is a well-earned win.

Thanks to everyone who voted. Creativity comes in all forms and this is demonstrated when I see the posted gardens, greenhouses and the photography. As for my art, I paint oil medium and mainly paint landscapes. I started painting with my Mother many years ago and had to take a hiatus while raising the kids. I paint for my enjoyment and a way to de-stress. If people start enjoy my art, I may have to change my personal style, and lose an ear.

well, as a voter in this contest, I voted for the oil painting because like Daiv said, it takes a lot more effort. I am not trying to be mean, playing with photoshop and other programs is fun but, It's pressing buttons, not making artwork :)

Good job Cactushobbyman,
you wanna paint some Opuntia for me? ;)
Here's to you, all you insidious creatures of green..er I mean cacti.
