Congrats! Those spines look amazingly similar to Cryptolaemus larvae (also know as mealybug destroyer). I had to vote for what looked like an army of them!

Wow! Thanks everyone. I am surprised at the win! It is funny because I took that picture not long before bringing my plants in for the winter and I didn't have any particular reason to do it, Just thought it was a nice little plant - fairly new too. I got it last year from Craig Fry.
All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
