You beat me to it. Majcka is correct. Only one picture is allowed in the contest, but you are welcome to post as many related pictures as you want in this thread (Discussion and related Pictures).majcka wrote:Sure can. one to the contest section, all other to Discussion and related pictures.Alber khan wrote:Can we post more than one pictures?Just checking.

Another (cactus) with very little spines. (In fact I never checked a loph. for spines thoroughly). One would probably have to cut an areole -and keep away from eating it

Echinopsis eyeressi
Stapelia gigantea
When thousands of foes unite, for my ruins plot–
If only You remain by my side, I then fear not!
I live for a hoped union with thee, it is my desired prize–
Or all my moments are spent- in the fright of demise!

Nice shot, fanaticactus!
The pot fits the cactus pretty well NancySLAZ! That is quite widespread amoung US growers I think. Over here in Germany most people I know put their plants in plain plastic pots. Maybe one of the reasons is that we don´t have those cactus shows where the best looking plants are judjed and prized as a regular event.

Some other examples for spineless.
Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we cannot eat money.

Here's a few from my "short list" that didn't make the final cut. I'm not labeling them because most are actually pretty common and recognizable.

@ fanaticactus... Snails love schlumbergera flowers! They ripped through all mine during one night leaving me with just skeletons.
They seem to love any mamm. sp. also. I've spread some bait since then and squash them everytime I see them now.

Thanks for the warning, Mitchell. Snails seem to love a lot of cacti; although I've had some minor damage from them, nothing devastating. I won't have to worry about my Schlum. flowers--they're all safely indoors by the time they bloom.Mitchell101 wrote:
