Fantastic plant! So, the contest is intended for miniatures that are full grown or adult plants? Not seedling photos?

Does anyone know why my picture is all distorted? It doesn't look that way on my computer. I've never had any trouble uploading pictures here before (although I've just gotten the latest version of the Opera browser, which has given me a heap of trouble already).
Nothing smells as sweet as a frangipani flower...

Okay, false alarm. Opera wasn't displaying the picture properly. I presume it will look fine for the rest of you.

Thanks Peter, yes the contest theme was initially meant to cover examples of miniature species but if you would find it rewarding to post a seedling photo then go ahead. I thought the main point here is that it is small (and interesting to look at 8) :) )

The mini coin really liliputs the cactus.

And how about humilis, tenuis or even tenuissima?

Yes indeed, cool plants and pics!

Tony, I think the pic you have as Frailea grahalina is actually Copiapoa laui. Either way, they both count as mini's ;)

Here are about 10 Coryphantha minima visible: Image
and those are the miniature friends at the same location, Coryphantha hesteri and Echinocereus davisii:Image
Other coin-cacti are growing further northwest, Navajoa peeblesiana for example:Image
the same species with a seedling on the left:Image
also in habitat, Micropuntia gracilicylindrica:Image
and a ~ 3 year old seedling of Rimacactus laui before being pampered to death:
