Wow! These are amazing! Please can we get the names for them (if known) so we can be on the lookout for them. I hope that was understandable.

Again - beautiful all of you!

Buck, that first flower is reminiscent of a Japanese Magnolia flower, what is it really?

It is the bud of a Cereus huntingtonianus. Here's the open flower

It is the last day of the contest! Dig out some more pink from the archives and throw it in the ring.

Try the color blue next time - that might decrease the number of pictures :D

Wow, this was a tough choice to make. Almost all my cacti seem to be flowering in the color pink. :)
I do like the last image of the Echinocereus that Hob placed. What species is that? Also, the two images Buck posted of the Cereus huntingtonianus are amazing and would be worthy of winning this contest.
I did look and discard the following:

Thelocactus bicolor

Image

Echinocereus viereckii

Image

Another Echinocereus pectinatus (a very close call to the one selected)

Image

And finally, three images of Echinocactus horizonthalonius with their hot pink flowers

@Harald they all are show bench flowers. But the ECC pectinatus is the top choice of them all.
Although I would have selected the other one for the contest because it doesn´t have that hard edge of the shade in it as the other one does 8)
@teo: yeah the color blue would norrow down the number of species that come into question quite a bit- at least voting would be easier then
