well i had a great time playing around with this one today

runners up (hard to decide which to use with so many "also rans")

probably threw the best one out, hard to tell what other people will like

Hi, I am new to this forum. I have a question, can the cactus have a flower as well as hairs or should it be just hairs? Also, does it have to be identified? Thanks

Hi, welcome.
Would prefer not to see flowers, But if it's really all you have, it's OK. But the emphasis needs to be on the fur/fuzz/wool.

Great pics guys! Here and the contest thread.

I snapped a few pics of this clump of E. lanata, it's cool how the pure white hairs contrast with the darker spines. Reminds me of George, the Yeti from Looney Tunes

and a pic of new fur on O.leucotrichus v.densilanata
