Hi everyone, thanks for reading. When I first started out, for some reason I just found opuntias to be a little boring. But a few months ago a friend gave me a pad of microdasys and insisted I plant it. After watching that little gem put down roots and sit bolt upright to get some sun, I realize I had them all wrong and I'd like to add a few more species to my collection. If you have a pad or two you could spare I would really appreciate it.
I have agave macroacantha seedlings (a few months old) and nolina microcarpa seedlings I could send along, otherwise I can reimburse for postage. Thanks!
Any opuntia pads to spare?

Re: Any opuntia pads to spare?
Fendler - I'm sure there'll be many offers, but certainly i have some humifusa to spare. Of course they're not awake yet -- probably 2 - 3 wks before they "sit up", but I'll be glad to send 2 or 3 then. Being the Boston area, you'd be well served to acquired some O. fragilis (many varieties, cold-hardy & tolerant of all kinds of crappy conditions, & very easy to grow) Send PM with address if interested.
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

I can take some cuttings of new growth on on Opuntia species in the wild here in San Luis Obispo, not sure of the name
Re: Any opuntia pads to spare?
I have an Opuntia Schickendantzii that I could send a cutting of if you pay for postage.
Re: Any opuntia pads to spare?
I would love a O. fragilis if someone can spare it. Im in zone 5 so its perfect. How much would shipping be though?
Re: Any opuntia pads to spare?
I have no shortage of Opuntia cochenillifera (Florida's tree optunia)
Re: Any opuntia pads to spare?
I've got an Opuntia columbiana plant that's native to Idaho. It has yellow/aprecot flowers. It can withstand very wet and cold winters (down to -14f and snow cover for several days after established) If you want I can send you a pad.
