Hylocereus (?) chunks for postage money

Post by BarryRice »

Hey all

During a recent visit to a cactus nursery I was given a few fragments of a rangy cactus the grower said had enormous, showy red flowers. The chunks had a few aerial roots. I took them home, potted them up, but now have second thoughts. I just don't have room for this thing. I'm guessing it is a Hylocereus? I just unpotted the fragments; the roots have grown astonishingly in the last week or so. There are no active growth points, but I'm sure they will pop out shortly!

I'm happy to send these two chunks to anyone who might want them, for about $5 to cover postage money. I could do a Paypal transfer or just risk cash in the mail.

First come, first served. If no interest, my compost bin will welcome them.

Cheers

Barry

I'll grow it as long as it doesn't have glochids. Gaudy flowers a plus.

Those stems look like selenicereus grandiflorus to me but should have a white flower so probably a hyb.
Forget the dog...Beware of the plants!!!
