Rebutia Carnival

Post by RobP »

Hi all

I have around 70 Rebutia Carnival Hybrid pups that are already starting to produce flower buds for swapping in the UK. The parent plant is pictured below.

They are very resilient and even a novice like me has been able to keep her alive, well and happy enough to produce babies twice a year for the last 6 years.

Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks

Rob

Thank you Gem. The postage costs to the US would be astronomical, and then there would be no guarantee that it would get through Customs. Sorry

Great non-traditional blossom for Rebutia, Rob! :D
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Unfortunately I've not attempted to collect seeds from the mother plant yet. Any suggestions on how to do so?

you could try using a Q-tip and rubbing it against the stamen on one flower and the pistils on another, although I don't know if they are self-fertile or not.

Beautiful plant Rob.
How old do they have to be before flowering?

These little babies tend to flower within 12 months.
