Cold Hardy Cactus has a few different spineless varieties, but they also have 2 varieties of what you're looking for - OP030: Opuntia fragilis (debreczyi) v. denuda (Potato Cactus) and OP031: Opuntia fragilis (debreczyi) v. denuda (Spineless Cat’s Paw Cactus)

Here's a few other spineless, or nearly spineless varieties that may be just as good for what you're looking to do with them. :)

OP027: Opuntia fragilis 'Alberta Sunset’ (Spineless Cat’s Paw Cactus)

OP067: Opuntia humifusa 'Inermis' - "virtually SPINELESS"

OP068: Opuntia aurea 'Rose Glow' - "Fine glochids, no spines. Pads are robust and smooth,..."

pages states they're $6 each unless marked, but it doesn't state how many pads you get for that $6. I don't know if anyone else has ordered from them before.

The other problem is you have to print off the order form and Mail it in with a Check!!!
May not be worth it.

I've ordered from "Cold Hardy Cactus" and was treated very well. The O. fragilis that are spineless from them have grown well for me. You only need one small pad to get them started. The O. aurea is a hybrid, not a true O. aurea but still a great plant.

Thanks you all. I will place a order with them. OPO31 looks like exactely what I want.

The shipping charge is a bit extreme, but if it gets me what I need then its all good in the long run.

I've had same experience as Dean. Ordered a couple of times. Yeah, in the age of "instant gratification", a little cumbersome, but if from pre-Internet "Dino Days", gets the job done & plants are excellent!

There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Hehe, sorry I fail to check back here a lot. I wound up getting 4 pads from Darryl.

Went smooth as to be expected. Nice and healthy and already had roots coming out. They are putting out new segments already.

Thanks Darryl :D
