I recently brought this small succulent from a garden centre and would like to confirm whether it is correctly named.
The label says Graptopetalum Purpereum. However, when googling this it doesn't seem to be a true species. Some of the pictures which resemble it name it as Echeveria Purpureum or Echeveria Dionysos, but strangely most of these sites are in French...
Is anybody able to help id this plant please? It is very firm to the touch, geometric and has green leaves with a purple tinge, especially on the underside. Two pictures attached.
Thank you

Re: Succulent ID - Graptopetalum Purpureum?
Thanks - is that a species or a hybrid? Doesn't seem to be much details on it with a quick google search... Odd that the genus is confused, just been on another site which refers to it as both Graptopetalum and Echeveria - has it been moved between geniuses at some point...?

OK, so I spoke without checking. Echeveria purpurosum I don't think it has ever been a Graptopetalum, but I'm sure that wouldn't stop many sellers. There may also be hybrids.

Still slightly off - Echeveria purpusorum. Very peculiar spelling - http://www.cactus-art.biz/schede/ECHEVE ... usorum.htm
