Lithops dudes

Post by sucti2016 »

So about a month ago I separated my lithops into different mixes, each labeled with a buddy. They are all seemingly doing good so far without watering. This is by far the most astonishing thing I've encountered! I'm so tempted to give it some water but I don't see any wrinkles. Are they actually still alive? I don't see any growth or difference otherwise. Perhaps it's dormant in the summer? Or not getting enough sun, etc?

I'd water them. If not now, then when? To me they look slightly thirsty.

Clearly still alive. When a Lithops dies, you'll notice

Thanks ever so much, Sir Ian. You are very kind and wise. I shall gladly give them a soak!

Then probably dry until April or May. Funny things, Lithops! I should check, you are in the northern hemisphere, right?

You are right Ian. I am in the northern hemisphere. You can tell by the look of my lithops, eh? Dry till April? I gather those little lines will grow in time and split? Are they too young to be have a specified ID?
