I wasn't expecting this guy to open up today! I'm glad I happened to take a quick look at the plants this evening, or I might have missed it.

I was looking them up, and they seems to be a bit more hearty than average succulents. The do better in cold weather than most. I can't get over the striking formation of their leaves. So interesting that they keep splitting open for new growth.
