Want to show you some habitat photos of small suculents made in our mountains of Alberta, Canada. Mostly Sedum lanceolatum is pictured but some other plants too.
Photos are taken previous years while hiking along the trails.

Sometimes at high altitudes the bloom comes in September as the first snow does. These little stonecrops do not care much about this.
And the habitat where it grows: rocky slopes at about 2000 m asl.

Found a picture of one more plant.
Roseroot (Sedum integrifolium) in Kananaskis Country. It's rare.

Re: Rocky Mountain succulents, Alberta
Thanks for the nice photos, we have some very similar plants, alpines, and other small plants in Alaska at those altitudes. Many of them are succulent. It's like being in another world when you get a chance to hike in the high mountains.
Also thanks for a reminder that I need to make a point of going on more hikes this summer while I'm still sort of young enough to climb and hike in our beautiful mountains.
Best to you and happy trails
Harry
