How do they all know?
It was one of those days. Nothing for ages, then all the Avonia flowers come along at once.
A. comptonii was trying to get in on the act, not realising it isn't really an Avonia. This tiny plant had an unusually large flower for the species.

Haha, that's brilliant. It's always a great day when the Avonias are in bloom (usually because they pick a day with nice weather!).
