Pseudolithos hararderanus Hundreds of Tiny Stinks

Post by JustSayNotoCactus »

This here is at least 4 years old from seed. The plant was an inch across when it was in flower this spring, and by now its probably pushin one and a quarter. Don't let the tiny flowers fool you, it is every bit as pungent as the other species, maybe even more so, like bad foot odor mixed with dead mouse.

My Pseudolithos migiurtines flowers smell like decomposing chicken. I know it is a one on one comparison, as I once had to bury a dead chicken that was dead for a few hot summer days already at the time when one of my Pseudolithos was flowering. I like these flowers!
