Pseudorhipsalis amazonica [what follows after a successful leaf cutting]

Post by Viperalus »

Hello all,

Image
The new growth goes well on my Pseudorhipsalis amazonica leaf cutting but I don't know what to do next. Should I leave it as it is?

Because (and as you can see at the progress of the leaf cutting) there is at least one more new growth waiting to grow on its own (right in the second image). But perhaps the bigger one takes all the resources, leaving no room for the smaller one(s).
So, any advice on what should I do next?

Since it seems to be doing well, just keep on going exactly as you are. No need to change anything. Maybe the larger branch will continue to grow for a while, or maybe the smaller one will catch up soon. Or maybe even the tiny branch will shrivel up and die. It doesn't matter so long as the plant is healthy overall and growing.

Looks fine to me. It will grow into a multi-leaf chain style plant. If any get too big, nip them off, and start another.

Thank you both and especially williamsi823 for giving me an image of how the plant will look in the near future.
