I've had this Pachypodium bispinosum for seven months now. Some of the leaves have turned yellow (some at the margins) and what's weird is that the affected leaves are the younger ones while the older ones at the base of the stem are green.
Is this a watering problem? A mineral deficiency? Or is the plant just heading towards its annual dormancy.
(I wanted to attach a picture but I am having a problem uploading a file)

Thanks @toadstar!
Anyway, here's a picture of the plant

And this is how it looked when I got it last Feb. It definitely has grown a lot since then

It seems to be a nutritional deficiency, because the symptoms (internerval yellowing) are classic. Possible iron or manganese deficiency (symptom: yellowing occurs between the veins of young leaves), or sulfur (young leaves turn yellow).
I found this info here:

For comparison, the leaves of my Pachypodium turned a little red-brown before they drop for the dormancy period.

The same yellowing (but not as heavy) occurs in my Stephania erecta too.

Anyhow, what should I do? Would foliar fertilizer work? I have one that contains trace elements like iron and manganese but sadly no sulfur.

Not sure I can help you. Foliar fertilizer may works fine, and those with sulfur are not hard to find, but I cant give you any additional advice.absolute0 wrote:

Thanks mmcavall, I'll try to apply some fertilizer and hope it works!
