Can I still save this cactus?

Hi. I recently purchased perlite and decided to change the soil in cacti. When I removed the soil, I saw this. Can I still save my cactus? The bottom picture shows some sort of sprouting. I already re-planted the cactus using the perlite mixture but I'm still worried. Thank you.

Yes, it is perlite.

From what i see it's not. The yellow color is normal for lack of chlorophyll under the soil level.
U can always cut and reroot if it does rot.

If it is rotting, you will know. There usually is no doubt when things rot. Smell it, and you know.

I'd agree, looks perfectly healthy Nice root system as well, so it would be a shame to cut it and find out there's nothing wrong!
