I was removing old dead leaves from beneath one of my echeverias, & when one popped loose, it flung a tiny puff of dust up. Initially, I thought it was just fine dirt, until I saw fuzzy blackish grey mold on the dead leaf. Do I need to be concerned about extra measures or should I just continue to periodically remove dead leaves & avoid as many risks of open injuries to the echeveria, as possible?
The echeveria in question is an Echeveria Shaviana.

I wouldn't be too worried. Try to remove the dead leaves sooner, though, before they mold.

Thanks. Forgot to mention though, those dead leaves were already there when I purchased it, so this time around I had no control. Usually, when I already have them, I would remove the dead leaves as soon as they are withered enough to pop right off the leaf joint.
