Bowiea volubilis from cuttings
According to an uncited Wikipedia page, you can grow Bowiea volubilis from cuttings. Has anyone tried this? I'm a little hesitant because I really don't want to hurt the plants we do have. Thanks!

From what I can find, they don't exactly grow from cuttings, but stem pieces can be propagated in vitro - http://ejournal.sinica.edu.tw/bbas/cont ... 73-08.html
Also, a piece of a bulb scale will grow little bulblets. there's a picture of that here - http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/2313

I read something about that and then one day I was reppoting my Bowiea and I broke some "pieces of a bulb scale" (to use the same words used by Spence) and tried to grow them, but I had no positive results. Anyway, I did not take it seriously, and maybe given better conditions it would be possible.

Not hard to harvest seeds and to grow from seeds, though.
